EndoscopicNo incisions

Gastric Balloon

A soft balloon takes up space in the stomach, so you feel satisfied with less. It's temporary.

Intragastric balloon, placed endoscopically or swallowed depending on device. Temporary; suitability confirmed at assessment.

Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty

The stomach is made smaller from the inside, through the mouth. Nothing is removed and there are no cuts.

Per-oral endoscopic suturing to reduce gastric volume, without resection or incisions. For selected patients following assessment.

SurgicalKeyhole surgery

Gastric Sleeve

Most of the stomach is removed, leaving a smaller sleeve shape. You feel full sooner, and hunger hormones change too.

Laparoscopic resection of approximately 75–80% of the stomach. Restrictive with hormonal effects; non-reversible.

Gastric Bypass

A small stomach pouch is joined further along the intestine, changing how food moves through and is absorbed.

Laparoscopic small gastric pouch with intestinal diversion. Restrictive and malabsorptive; lifelong micronutrient monitoring.

    Send a standard referral via Medical-Objects, addressed to one of our surgeons or to the TWMC team. Recent bloods and history help.

    We contact your patient

    We confirm receipt with your practice and arrange a comprehensive assessment, in clinic or by telehealth Australia-wide.

    You receive the plan

    Correspondence outlining the agreed treatment plan and any pre-procedure workup required.

    Ongoing updates and clear guidance on monitoring, so you stay central to your patient's care.
