A practical, patient-centred approach

Consultations are intended to help patients understand their condition, appropriate treatment pathways, alternatives, material risks, likely recovery considerations and next steps. Where surgery is being considered, planning takes account of medical history, previous treatment, individual goals and the long-term nutrition and monitoring required after bariatric procedures.

No procedure is automatically suitable because of a single measurement or online questionnaire. Decisions require individual clinical assessment and informed discussion.
